40. Monster Soul Converter

The Monster Soul Converter is a daily PvE quest system in MU MAX Age that allows players to hunt monsters, collect their souls, and convert that accumulated energy into Jewel of Lugard.

This system serves as one of the primary in-game sources of Jewel of Lugard. Reward quantities and daily limitations are carefully balanced to preserve the long-term value of the item while providing players with a meaningful daily hunting objective.

How It Works​

Completing a Monster Soul Converter quest consists of the following steps:

  1. Purchase a Monster Soul Converter.

  2. Check the assigned target monster.

  3. Hunt the target monster and collect 500 Monster Souls.

  4. Once all 500 Monster Souls have been collected, the Monster Soul Converter is automatically transformed into Jewel of Lugard.

Each Monster Soul Converter tier differs in:

  • Required character level

  • Dagaz purchase cost

  • Number of Jewel of Lugard awarded

  • Pool of eligible target monsters

Purchasing a Monster Soul Converter​

Monster Soul Converters can be purchased from:

Location: Devias

Coordinates: (219, 9)

Priest James offers every Monster Soul Converter tier. Players may only purchase Converters that match their character's eligible level.

Players may purchase a Monster Soul Converter at their current tier or any lower tier.

Example: A Level 150 character may purchase Monster Soul Converter Lv.1, Lv.2, or Lv.3.

Daily Limitations​

Each character may purchase one Monster Soul Converter per day.

The purchase limit resets daily at 00:00 (Server Time).

Once a Monster Soul Converter has been purchased, the daily purchase attempt is considered consumed, even if the player later sells the Converter to abandon the quest.

Monster Soul Converters are subject to the following restrictions:

  • Cannot be traded with other players.

  • Cannot be stored in the Warehouse.

  • Both the Monster Souls collected and quest progress are permanently bound to the character that purchased the Converter.

Collecting Monster Souls​

To complete the quest, players must collect: 500 / 500 Monster Souls

Quest progress is stored directly within the Monster Soul Converter, allowing players to monitor their progress at any time.

When defeating the assigned target monster:

  • There is a 60% chance for a Monster Soul to appear.

  • Monster Souls appear as purple spiritual energy.

  • The soul automatically flies toward the player's character.

  • Quest progress is automatically added to the Monster Soul Converter.

Quest Completion​

Once 500 Monster Souls have been collected, the system completes the quest automatically.

Upon completion:

  1. The Monster Soul Converter is consumed.

  2. The player immediately receives the appropriate number of Jewel of Lugard based on the Converter tier.

  3. The Jewel of Lugard replaces the Converter in the same inventory slot.

  4. If the player already possesses a stackable Jewel of Lugard in their inventory, the reward will automatically merge with the existing stack whenever possible.

Players are not required to return to Priest James or manually turn in the quest after collecting all Monster Souls.
